My wife and I visited the Shangri-La for the first time, but we will be back. The hotel was well appointed, the food was good, and the spacious room was excellent. One of the best beds we have found. We played golf at the resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The courses were beautiful, challenging, and very well maintained. The bermuda fairways were like carpets. Could not have been more pleased with our choice of staying there.

Fantastic place with a mixed bag of experiences one the staffing front. Party of 8 playing golf and eating dinner. Golf course staff unbelievably bad, what an attitude. 5 scratch players in our group treated like we were first time golfers. Not to mention booking 2 tee times only to be told we phoned the wrong person to book. Ended up waiting 3 hours for the next available times. When we did get out the course was almost empty. Anchor and hotel had run out of coffee. Carts were full of rubbish from earlier players. On the plus side, a big thanks to Isak who fixed clean carts for us and helped us get some drinks, a diamond amount the coal. The course itself was in great shape and is a real pleasure to play. A shame people in US have a problem to rake the bunkers though, which we always seem to see here. Dinner was another joke. Girl taking our order was not interested in the slightest. Wrong drinks, wrong food and way more interested in her phone. Even had the audacity to call me out when I gave a bad tip (on purpose). Conclusion, the resort is great, it just needs better staff in certain areas.

The locals always look poorly or down upon anyone who stays, as they have commandeered Karaoke Night and do not like if you sing something different. The resort itself is okay, food is good too. What made them poor was how they handled a lost item. They blamed me for loosing my Apple AirPods, when their last location was my hotel room according to Apple Find, and did not believe me. They said they swept the room for them and found nothing. And then when I wasn't satisfied, they replied they would look again and call me back. They never called me back, and I am convinced that something happened while my room was being cleaned, as the last time my AirPods were connected to my stuff, was after the cleaners came to straighten my room, the one time they came in my three days there. Essentially front facing customer service is okay, but they do not care about trying to find or compensate for lost items which is sad, I expect more for how much I paid for the room.

The property was great for a small get-a-way. I would like to try and go back in the summer when the outdoor pool and other restaurants are open. The pizza at The Alley is good though. All staff was very nice and went above and beyond to us navigate our first time there.
